Pat O'Connor has practiced law since graduating from Loyola University Law School while serving the City of Chicago as a member of the City Council from 1983 until 2019. He was elected nine times as Alderman of the 40th Ward of Chicago.

Subsequent to serving 36 years in public service, Pat has practiced in the legal areas of commercial litigation and representing eleemosynary institutions with an emphasis on human resources and business management. 

Pat’s involvement in collective bargaining agreements and organized labor unions has also allowed him to transition into representation of individual members and some organizations and businesses that require his expertise.

Pat is a devoted husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. Pat has five children and twelve grandchildren, who all live in Chicago.
