Jeffrey Jordan found success recently before the Illinois Appellate Court. In getting the trial court's dismissal of the case overturned, Jeff successfully argued that the Defendant's employer was responsible for his negligence while preparing to leave the job.

O'Connor & Nakos partner Mark Murnane won an appeal in which the appellate court expanded the "deliberate encounter" exception. This case will assist injured employees in obtaining recovery when they are faced with no choice but to encounter dangerous conditions on the job.

Steve Burrows and Jeff Jordan worked with students at Chicago's Evergreen Academy today as part of the Lawyers in the Classroom project. 2011 is proving why O'Connor & Nakos is one of the premier personal injury firms in Illinois. Dan O'Connor recently resolved two difficult liability cases on behalf of Local #1 Ironworkers. Dan secured $950,000 for an apprentice ironworker who herniated a disc after lifting a bucket of bolts, and $1 million for a journeyman who sustained mulitple fractures after falling from a bar joist.

A $5.25 million settlement was reached recently by founding partners Dan O'Connor & Telly Nakos on behalf of the family of a laborer who was struck and killed by a truck on job site in Chicago.

O'Connor Nakos partner Jeff Comeau secured a $1,020,000.00 verdict in Cook County recently on behalf of an unmarried 74 year old Laborer foreman who was killed when a trench he was working in collapsed. Congratulations to Jeff on another terrific result.
