Jeffrey Jordan found success recently before the Illinois Appellate Court. In getting the trial court's dismissal of the case overturned, Jeff successfully argued that the Defendant's employer was responsible for his negligence while preparing to leave the job.

O'Connor & Nakos partner Mark Murnane won an appeal in which the appellate court expanded the "deliberate encounter" exception. This case will assist injured employees in obtaining recovery when they are faced with no choice but to encounter dangerous conditions on the job.

Marty Lucas continued his string of successes on behalf of those injured due to medical negligence by settling a case for $550,000. A 64 year old life long smoker died within 2 months of diagnosis of late stage metastatic lung cancer. Marty asserted that the Defendant's failure to order testing in a timely manner caused the cancer to spread and become incurable by the time the diagnosis was finally made.
